Corporate Commitment that Really Pays
Our program can train a CSO in each of your corporate offices. There is no need to bring in an outside firm to install a corporate sustainability plan. The training is available to train a key environmental person in each facility, equip each CSO with a coordinated sustainability model, and make your company functionally and certifiably Green. The Fortune 1000 companies are already installing CSOs. They likely see the future in a way that others companies might miss. The Sustainable Forum provides the tools and training necessary to make your business "Lean, Mean and Green," but it needs to start with the internalization of core element. Colleges, Training Centers, and Professional Training
The Certified Sustainability Officer training is a ready-to-offer course that can be brought into your facility. This program is well-written, comprehensive, and practical. Text, PowerPoints, and supporting videos allow your staff to offer CSO training with a minimum of effort. There is every indication that having a CSO in a company will be a common as a CFO, CIO, or COO. Of course, there are four-year programs for sustainability training, but the average company needs to upgrade existing personnel to make this a part of the operation. The ability to provide a comprehensive training program without pulling the employee out of cycle is very important.
Military, Governmental, or Agency Opportunities
Like other options listed above, EO #13514 actually requires all government agencies to install a sustainability officer or committee. Rather than merely appointing this position, we encourage that appointed individual to train the training that will provide a clear pattern of sustainability options that can be applied. This training can be provided in live session or taken via an Internet distance learning. Government agencies are required to provide a much higher level of compliance that corporations, and the training for a sustainability officer is critical to a job well done or poorly neglected.
We believe that there is a "Bright Line" that has been confused by most programs. The training and installation of a Certified Sustainability Officer is the first step in the process. The development of a professional sustainability plan is the second key phase, and the implementation of that plan is the obvious step towards developing a Green and sustainable company.
The proof of s successful plan is the ability to apply for an audited certification from an independent, third party. If the company has applied the three steps mentioned above, the ability to pass the audit and certification is simple. Certification is deemed to be the sure cure for any claims of greenwashing.
